Sourcing the best interior suppliers - the brands that impressed me at Maison et Objet

In September 2018, I went for the first time to Maison & Objet, an international interior trade show in Paris for the trade. This was the opportunity for me to scour the market and find new suppliers. You may have seen many pictures from it on my instagram, but I thought I would share with you the suppliers I liked. So in no particular order, here are four brands I particularly liked.

TinekHome

This Danish brand has everything you need to create your own “hygge”. Their sofas and chairs are very comfortable, their fabric textures so soft and cosy and their colour palette is full of pale, earthy colours. If you are all about cosy interiors as I am, you’ll love this brand!

Authentic Models
I love a piece of furniture with a story behind it! And this is exactly what Authentic Models are about: re-creating historical pieces of furniture, ornaments and objects. I particularly loved their bars hidden in old travel trunks, perfect for my “man cave”. All these dark wood furniture and vintage objects will look exquisite and add sophistication in an interior.

Essential Home
It is all in their brand name! Specialised in mid-century pieces, their furniture is sleek and elegant and make me romanticise about the past. Beautifully finished and executed, I fell for this sideboard in particular that I will have to use in one of your living-room.

Secto Design
Based in Finland, the creators of this brand share their love for northern woods and shaped all their lamps using their Scandinavian flair. The results are beautifully shaped and stylish wood lamps. Made with strips of wood, their natural finish would be perfect for a relaxed interior, and give that eco-interior feel.
